Thursday, 12 March 2009

Day 1b of the EPT’s stop in Dortmund saw 358 players take to the felt, bringing the total number of entrants to 664.

At the day’s end last night, German player Marcus Noll had catapulted through the 100k chip barrier to take the lead from Day 1a’s leader William Thorson.

Noll was one of 137 survivors after Day 1b, meaning that 252 people will return to the casino for Day 2 – including defending champion Mike “Timex” McDonald, who heads into Day 2 with 67,900 inside the top ten in chips.

Dario Minieri, Jesper Hougaard, Clonie Gowen, Peter Eastgate, Bertrand Grospellier, Marcel Luske and Katja Thater all hit the rail although Luca Pagano and Max Prescatori survived to Day 2.
