Marcel Bjerkmann first came to our attention after a runner up finish in the £1.5k side at event EPT London. The Norwegian followed that up by winning the Belgian Poker Championships and has continued his love in with the low countries with another big win in Holland.

The youngster added a further €345k to his bankroll after winning the Amsterdam Masters of Poker last week. Bjerkmann was the short stack when play was three handed but a timely double up with Queens put him in prime position. He eventually ended up heads up with Finland's Villa Haavisto and with the stacks virtually event the pair agreed to a deal. Bjerkmann went on to seal the deal when his pocket tens held up against the Finn's K2.
