Mansion Poker Set to Sponsor Manchester United

Everton may have stopped all bets at their online casino and kindly told their punters to find somewhere else to sink their disposable income, but it seems all is not lost in the volatile relationship between football and online gaming.

Everton may have stopped all bets at their online casino and kindly told their punters to find somewhere else to sink their disposable income, but it seems all is not lost in the volatile relationship between football and online gaming. Having been publicly ditched by mobile phone company Vodafone, Manchester United is set to ink a deal with online poker company Mansion.
The deal, the largest ever soccer shirt sponsorship at around £60 million ($104 million), will see the Mansion brand splashed across the chests of the likes of wannabe rap star and all round defensive calamity Rio Ferdinand and the world’s most bankable footballer, Wayne Rooney. Hopefully this will cover Mansion’s likely disappointment with FOX Sports proposed Pokerdome in downtown Las Vegas, which they were due to sponsor, only to be told by the Nevada Gaming Control Board that the whole thing was illegal and never likely to get off the ground.
Considering United remain one of the biggest money-spinning commodities in global sport, it looks as if Mansion have landed on their feet. Whether they offer plenty of freeroll tournaments to some of the English Premiership’s most notorious gambling players remains to be seen.
