Magnus Nasslin wins European Deepstack Championship

Wednesday, 16 February 2011

Deepstack events are becoming increasing popular on the tournament circuit and last week's European Deepstack Championship, which attracted a record field, was a case in point.

The €500 buy-in event attracted a field of 737 players from 30 countries to the Ballsbridge Hotel in Dublin with Sweden's Magnus Nasslin eventually taking the title after five days of play. The Swede defeated Laurent Catala heads up after the Frenchman's A5 couldn't beat Nasslin's pocket kings.

The next event on the deepstack calendar is the English Deepstack Poker Championship from Luton's G Casino from 3-6 March 2011. In addition to the £500+£50 Main Event (which will feature two opening flights) there will also be £270+£30 and £180+£20 side events.

Satellites for the Main Event will run in 1 and 2 March 2011. For more information visit. http://www.d4events.com/edpc2011/
