Anyone who had the pleasure of being at this year's Poker in the Park will know that Mad Marty Wilson is one of the best raconteurs in the game.
Now Irish poker players will get the benefit of Marty's words of wisdom as Wolverhampton's finest will be introducing this Sunday's Irish Poker Awards at the Regency Hotel this Sunday. Marty will be regaling the audience with some of his finest poker anecdotes (and believe me he's got plenty) before handing over to our very own Michael Caselli and fellow champion talker Neil Channing who are hosting the event.Marty earned the 'mad' moniker when he jumped into a zoo’s polar bear enclosure as a teenager in order to escape from rival football fans. He's lived up to that nickname throughout his adult life and will have plenty of tall tales to keep the Dublin crowd entertained. The Irish Poker Awards take place from 7pm to 9pm at Dublin's Regency Hotel on Sunday 17th October and mark the culmination of a great weekend of poker with the Boylepoker International Poker Open starting on Friday. Voting is open at TheIrishPokerAwards.com until tomorrow. Anyone registering their vote will be entered into a special draw where one lucky winner will claim an IPO seat.Keep up to date with all the news from the poker world by following us on Twitter and Facebook.
