Mac-compatible online poker is more popular than ever

Mac-compatible online poker is more popular than ever

Tuesday, 24 August 2010

Back in the day if you were sensible enough (or pretentious enough, depending on who is asking) to own an Apple Mac then you were well out of luck when it came to playing online poker with it being a rarity for sites to offer Mac OSX compatible software.

However, with the growing popularity of Apple and online poker it is only right that websites have begun to branch out and offer online poker for Mac users. Sometimes it is merely an in-browser client named “Instant Play” but a few rooms now have emerged as being fully Mac compatible.

On Bodog, for example, the software offered for Macs allows only one table at a time. UB and Absolute are also restricted in their offerings to Mac users; PartyPoker was one of the first to take the compatability step.
PokerStars, of course, is fully functional for Mac users. Full Tilt Poker joins them, meaning that the two biggest poker sites in the world are also the two most Mac-friendly.
