Fancy yourself to be something of an online poker wizard? MTV may well want you for an episode of True Life then.
Last week someone appeared on the 2+2 forums claiming that MTV were on the look out for people who led alternative lives online. Of course, the initial posts were treated a little sceptically, but it was later confirmed to be genuine.
'We're reaching out to a number of different online groups and cultures, and we thought it could be fascinating to profile someone who gambles online,' said Ben Rosen in his posting on the forum.
Rosen’s company, LeftRight.tv, are responsible for the production of True Life for MTV. He has approached various online forums, including those for online poker players.
'The key thing we're looking for is that our subject leads a life that is very distinct/unique/interesting when juxtaposed to his or her online gambling activities,' he said in the posting.
The MTV show is a documentary series focuses on the real-life stories of youngsters and the unusual subcultures they are a part of. The show started in 1998 and has featured, amongst others, people with Tourette’s, gay marriage activists, debt and other issues.
Those of you who are interested in taking part in the show have to appear between the ages of 16 and 28, and should email their name, location, story, phone number and photo, if possible, to weblife@mtvstaff.com or brosen@leftright.tv.
