Voting brisk for British Poker Awards

Thursday, 13 September 2012

Voting for next week's British Poker Awards has been brisk with over 5,000 votes already received for next week's ceremony.

“These awards work because people are enthused to vote in their droves,” said awards co-presenter Michael Caselli, “As long as the British public are involved, these awards are a success and we get a real true vision of who everyone believes is the best of the best in British Poker.”

The Awards give recognition to the people that make the UK poker scene one of the most vibrant in the world. A total of 17 gongs are on offer including Best Tournament Player, Best Cash Player, Best Online Player and Poker Personality of the Year.

The nominees in each category have been decided by a judging panel that includes Bluff Europe, PokerNews.com, PokerListings.com, PokerStrategy.com and “The Voice of Poker” himself, Jesse May.

The ceremony itself will be held aboard the HMS President in London this coming Monday, 17th September, but there’s still time to cast your vote over the weekend at www.thebritishpokerawards.com.
