London Poker Circuit returns next week

London Poker Circuit returns next week

Wednesday, 14 October 2009

Last month we brought you the news that the London Poker Circuit had closed down and that they wouldn’t be hosting any more events. We’re pleased to say that in a Phoenix from the Flames style move, the Circuit has resurrected itself with new events and more importantly a new venue.

The LPC will now be hosting a series of regular Friday night tournaments at the Sportsman Casino in Marble Arch. The action starts at 7.30pm on Friday 23rd October with the first ‘Friday Fifty’ tournament where guaranteed prize money of £5,000 is up for grabs. The tournament is a £50+£15 buy in, with the opportunity of a £50 rebuy and a £50 add on. Stacks start at 5,000 chips with a 30-minute clock. The field will be capped at 130 so registration in advance is recommended. As the event will take place in a casino (rather then a hotel like previous LPC events) there should be some good dealer dealt cash game action too. There’s also the chance to satellite your way in for just £5.50+£2.50 in a series of qualifiers at The Kensington Close Hotel.

The LPC has also announced plans for a new monthly deep stack event starting in January 2010. The Main Event will be a three-day, £300+£30 freezeout with starting stacks of 15,000 chips and a 40-minute clock.
