London Poker Circuit mark two gets off to a flying start

Wednesday, 28 October 2009

The second incarnation of the London Poker Circuit got off to an excellent start last Friday. A total of 81 players bought in for the Friday Fifty, creating a massive prize pool of £9,250, easily outmatching the £5,000 guarantee. In the end 13 players chopped the first prize!

Leg two of the series takes place at The Sportsman Casino in Marble Arch at 7.30pm on Friday. Organisers are expecting the field to exceed 100 this week, so players should be in the card room by 7.20pm at the latest. Competitors will also be able to use their add-on as a second rebuy from this Friday. Qualifiers take place tomorrow at 7pm at the Kensington Close Hotel. The buy in is just £8, which is excellent value.

The LPC has also announced plans for a possible re-launch of a Super Stack tournament in December. Details haven’t been confirmed yet but organisers are hoping for a two to three day event with a £400 buy in. Satellites will once again be offered both live and on 888.com. There is also talk of a further weekly night at the tournament but details once again are yet to be confirmed.
