Lloyd leads Genting Poker Series London after opening flight

Thursday, 29 March 2012

The London leg of the Genting Poker Series got off to a fine start at the Fox Poker Club yesterday with 141 players, attracted by a hefty starting stack and an excellent, 60-minute clock, paying the £400+£30 buy-in.

At the close of play, just 37 of the starters were still standing with David Lloyd leading the chip counts with a stack of 282,600. Joining Lloyd in the 200k plus club were Timothy Chung on 227,500 and Hendon Mobster Ross Boatman on 217,500. Older Brother Barny also made it through the opening flight and returns on Saturday with 33,500.

The £100,000 guarantee is well on the way to being broken with packed houses expected for the second and third opening day flights which get under at 1pm today and at the same time tomorrow.
