You could be forgiven for thinking that the thrill of playing poker was that it gave you the chance to be out there on your own, battling against other individuals with nobody to cheer you on, no one to turn to when the going gets tough.

You could be forgiven for thinking that the thrill of playing poker was that it gave you the chance to be out there on your own, battling against other individuals with nobody to cheer you on, no one to turn to when the going gets tough. But for top poker celeb Liz Lieu those days of loneliness are over thanks to Team Martin Poker, who have taken her on as their latest member.
Lieu joins a distinguished list including Martin de Knijff, Patrik Antonius, Alex Stevic and Ingemar Backman. All this is impressive for Lieu who only played her first ranking tournament in 2005, finishing fifth in her WSOP event. However, she’s been one of Vegas’ and LA’s top cash players since she was 18, making her a perfect addition to the team. And now she says she has the added bonus of a group of pals to cheer her on when she’s still at the table. It’s a far cry from playing Texas Hold ‘Em on her own in LA that’s for sure.
