Living The Dream Preparations

Living The Dream Preparations

Thursday, 19 November 2015

The second instalment of the Living The Dream video reports has been released following the exploits of the five qualifiers that won their CPT Punta Cana Poker Classic main event seats via Juicy Stakes and Intertops Poker.

While Steve played one of the side events and Daniel was missing in (party) action in the Dominican Republic, the other Living The Dream players talk about how their personal strategies for a tournament differ from the way they play online at home and how they plan to prepare for a long night of live tournament poker.

Talking about the differences between playing online and in a live tournament, Neal said he tended to play more aggressively online since “if I get knocked out I can just go watch TV’. In a live tournament, he recommends patience.

Derek, a professional poker player, agreed. “Being able to stay patient through the whole tournament is the key for me, something I tell myself all the time.”

How did the guys plan to prepare for the first night of the CPT Punta Cana Poker Classic main event at the Punta Cana Hard Rock Hotel? Phil looked forward to a massage. Neal fancied a steak. And Derek thought a nap seemed like a good idea since the tournament didn’t even begin until 9pm. We later caught up with Daniel who’d been ‘preparing’ at the World Swimsuit Finals.

“Even if it’s kind of a big tournament, just play and have fun,” said Daniel.

In the next episode due out tomorrow readers will find out who made it through to Day 2 and whether massages, naps, steaks or partying are the way to go.
