She’s one of the most recognisable faces on the UK poker scene and a mean player in her own right. Following an announcement made earlier today, Bluff Europe columnist Liv Boeree has been unveiled as the UK ambassador for AbsolutePoker.
The 23-year-old isn’t just a pretty face though. Having got a first-class degree in astrophysics, Boeree knows the European poker scene as well as anyone else having worked as a presenter, writer and interviewer on some of the most popular poker broadcasts going. Her playing career is on the up as well, having made a final table at the Welsh Amateur Championships as well as playing in the WPT Five Diamond Classic.
“Absolute Poker is the perfect fit because it’s such a fun, young and vibrant brand,” stated Boeree. “It’s very friendly for young ladies such as myself. The software is really quick, simple to use and attractive as well.”
Liv will be playing online and live tournaments under the Absolute Poker colours, starting tonight, when she plays in a $1,000 guaranteed tournament at 8pm GMT and the $6,000 guaranteed at 9pm GMT at AbsolutePoker.com. Liv will have a bounty on her head, giving the player who knocks her out triple their buy in back. If the same person knocks her out of both, they win $1,000. They won’t be getting a Christmas card from Miss Boeree, though.
