MediaCorp PLC, the parent company of Purple Lounge, has appointed chartered accountants Baker Tilly Restructuring and Recovery LLP as liquidator for the defunct subsidiary.
Purple Lounge stopped games in April with MediaCorp later citing “historic operational and financial failings within the business” as the cause of the online poker room's failure. MediaCorp released a notice to the London Gazette on Friday confirming that a creditors meeting has been scheduled for the Clock House, 140 London Road, Guildford, Surrey at 10:30am. A list of creditors’ names and addresses can be seen at Baker Tilly’s offices between 10am – 4pm on the two business days prior to the July 23 meeting.
