Lindgren Files for Bankruptcy (Again)

Thursday, 18 June 2015

Two-time WSOP bracelet winner Erick Lindgren has filed for bankruptcy. It's the second time that the former Full Tilt pro has taken such a move in the past three years.

Lindgren was sued by the parent company of PokerStars in February after he failed to repay $2m which Full Tilt had erroneously wired into his account in April 2011. PokerStars is also seeking restitution for another loan worth $531,807.

It seems unlikely they'll be getting their money in the near or even distant future as according to Bloomberg.com, Lindgren reported assets of less than $50,000 in documents filed in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Las Vegas earlier this week.

Lindgren filed for bankruptcy in 2012 owing $3.8m to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as well as $4.8m to other creditors.

Despite his financial woes, Lindgren has been playing in this year's World Series of Poker, winning $193,675 after a seventh place finish in the $1,500 Millionaire Maker.
