The fight is scheduled for November 22 with “some poker TV-show hosting the fight”; however both Veldhuis and ElkY have confirmed that if the TV falls through, the fight will still continue on the 22nd.


Veldhuis also spoke about WCOOP and his game in his blog plus his attempts to master PLO. He did lament his fitness, saying that “what does worry me is that in training I injured my foot again, last year I nearly broke my foot... I have been getting injured a lot.... it sends me on tilt.”
