Lewis “Browndog” Taylor wins Sky Poker Tour Blackpool.

Tuesday, 2 November 2010

Online player Lewis Taylor, who goes by ‘Browndog’ on the Sky Poker client, beat a sell-out field of 150 players to win the Sky Poker Tour event in Blackpool for the third season of the national tour. Taylor takes home £4,000 for beating Ron Musson heads-up.

Taylor tricked Musson into giving away the majority of his stack on a 6-6-5 flop with a huge overbet for all his chips. Musson pondered and called the apparent bluff with 5-2 only to be left drawing dead against 6-5 for a flopped full house.

It took until around two in the morning for Taylor to fully dispatch Musson, though, who put up a great fight before finally conceding second place and taking home £2,800 for his troubles. The full final table payouts were as follows:

1. Lewis Taylor - £4,000
2. Ron Musson - £2,800
3. Mike Hudson ‘Mike1975’ - £1,900
4. David Llewellyn ‘Daiboot’ - £1,400
5. Darren Bingham ‘Bingham’ - £1,200
6. Stephen Reeve bluemacaw £900
7. Dan McSkelly ‘DannyMcS’ - £750
8. Gary Salmon ‘yupster69’ - £600
9. Andrew Wilson ‘Jackkat’ - £500
