Thursday, 30 December 2010

Major changes are afoot at Cake Poker with the news that card room manager Lee Jones and tournament director Serge Ravitch are stepping down.

Jones announced his departure on the Cake Poker forum at 2+2 writing, “This is a brief announcement to let you know that, as of yesterday, I have resigned my position at Cake Poker and will not be making any further posts here. Their management has made some strategic decisions with which I'm not comfortable.” He didn't elaborate further on the reasons for his departure. Ravitch, also announced his resignation from the company in the same 2+2 thread, citing the same reasons as Jones.

Cake Poker is the flagship site on the Cake Poker network which is the home to the likes of Doyle's Room, Victory Poker and Phil Laak's Unabomber Poker. Jones had been at Cake Poker for over 18 months after previous spells as CardRunners, PokerStars and the EPT.
