Tuesday, 18 August 2009

Layne Flack is the latest top pro to sign up with leading agency Poker Icons. The 40-year-old joins Jamie Gold, Kathy Liebert and Annette Obrestad who are all represented by the Scandinavian management firm.

Flack, nicknamed ‘Back to Back’ after winning consecutive events at the 2002 and 2003 WSOP has hinted that Europe is the place to be as far as poker is concerned. “I believe that poker has a great future in Europe and I would love to be a part of it.”
Poker Icons CEO added, "There is good action in Europe, and good poker players look for the best action. In Europe a well-merited player like Layne is looked upon as a big star, newsworthy and with a great potential for a sponsorship."

Flack, who had a recent run in with the law relating to a drink driving incident, reached two final tables at the 2009 World Series.
