Last Call for UKIPT Nottingham

Friday, 17 April 2015

The final flight of the £1m guaranteed UKIPT event in Nottingham starts this lunchtime with a huge field expected at Dusk Till Dawn today.

The previous three day 1s have brought 469 players to the tables, attracted by what will be an enormous prize pool for a £1,000 buy-in event. Today's action is set to dwarf the other flights with tour organisers advising players to get there as early as possible.

So far, 172 of the 469 starters have secured their seat for the weekend's action with Alexander Harriman leading the way. Plenty of notable names will be joining him including Simon Higgins, Iaron Lightbourne, Sergio Aido, Simon Deadman, Kuljinder Sidhu, Yucel 'Mad Turk' Eminoglu, Chris Brammer and our own Jeff Kimber.

As well as the usual collection of hopefuls, qualifiers and grinders a genuine sporting superstar will also be entering today's day 1D action. World boxing champ Carl Froch is set to take to the tables, fresh from some expert coaching from PokerStars pro Jake Cody. He's in bullish mood too and is “looking to take home as much of the prize pool as possible!” That's certainly one player not to slowroll!

Today's action starts at noon.
