Following the recent move to ban online gaming in the US, Las Vegas From Home Entertainment has announced that its Board of Directors is currently assessing all aspects of the new Act and how it will affect the company.
The company and its licensees' US customer base currently accounts for approximately 28 per cent of the company's revenues and consequently, the closure of the U.S. accounts would have an adverse material impact on the Company's business.
The company says that the Board of Directors will be continually monitoring the legal situation, both in the US and Canada, and will act accordingly to protect its shareholders' interests. The company also said that it intends to comply fully with all international laws that it is advised upon with regards the matter.
In an attempt to cut down on its legal exposure in the North American market and to capitalise on “promising nascent business opportunities,” Las Vegas From Home has been developing an Asian Multi-Player Software Platform (AMSP) for the past year and recently soft-launched that platform via the company’s Asian Licensee. Las Vegas From Home said it will release further details about the AMSP shortly.
