Ladbrokes on the Move

Ladbrokes on the Move

Wednesday, 13 March 2013

Ladbrokes Poker announced, yesterday, that it would be shifting its online operating to the iPoker Network.

Having called the Microgaming Network its home for the past few years, the UK betting giant will build on its relationship with developer Playtech and make the crossover “in due course”.

In addition to switching their poker outfit, Ladbrokes will take advantage of Playtech’s full gamut of software offerings, including a “Vegas” casino suite and various mobile products. However, for many the most significant switch will be the increased playerpool the iPoker Network can offer.

Indeed, over the last few years Ladbrokes has seen a decline in their online poker axis, but it’s hoped the change of venue will reverse that downswing.

As yet no timeframe for the move has been set, however, a statement from the company said: “In line with our contractual commitments we will continue to work with Microgaming … until such time as we have agreed an orderly transition”.
