Billed as ‘a poker game where you can’t lose’, the BBC's annual ‘Children in Need’ campaign has joined forced forces with Ladbrokes Poker to give poker players the chance to win a night at the prestigious Poker Million V Final dinner by playing in a charity tournament.
The tourney takes place tonight, November 16, at 20:30 GMT. Entry is $5 and there will also be the option to re-buy chips for half price if a player loses early on in the game. As well as the money raised from poker players, Ladbrokes has kindly offered to match players’ donations up to $5,000. What is more, players could rub electronic shoulders with a number of sporting celebrities who have been specially invited to enter.
The tourney winner will take home a pair of exclusive VIP tickets to the Ladbrokes Poker dinner with an overnight stay at the prestigious Marriott Hotel in Grosvenor Square, London, on December 15 to watch the televised Poker Million V finals.
'It's a win-win scenario,” said Ladbrokes eGaming MD, David Briggs. “Players get to support a very deserving charity and at the same time can enjoy pitting their poker wits playing against top ranking European poker players. You might find yourself playing against sporting personalities and celebrities and pick up a few tips along the way.”
