Season 8 of the European Poker Tour got under way in Estonia yesterday with Maxsim Kolosov leading the way after the opening flight of EPT Tallinn.

Despite being seated at an extremely tough table that included Roberto Romanello, Kent Lundmark, Fernando Brito the Russian closed the day with a stack of 102,725, almost 20,000 ahead of closest rival Romanello.

There are plenty of big names dotted amongst the 68 Day 1A survivors including Praz Bansi, Martin Jacobson, David Vamplew, Rupert Elder, Arnaud Mattern and David Sonelin.

The second opening flight has just got under way with 183 players sitting down, that around double the number that started yesterday.
