It seems unlikely that poker will ever find itself as top billing at the Olympics. However, that hasn’t stopped King Solomon’s Poker seeing an opportunity at the next summer games, having sponsored up-and-coming British gymnast Ben Brown.

It seems unlikely that poker will ever find itself as top billing at the Olympics. However, that hasn’t stopped King Solomon’s Poker seeing an opportunity at the next summer games, having sponsored up-and-coming British gymnast Ben Brown.
Brown was one of the faces for London’s bid for the 2012 games, pictured vaulting over the city’s famous “Gherkin” tower. Although his ambitions to go to the 2008 games in Beijing were stronger than ever, he found himself out of funding and back on the daily grind rather than on the pommel horse. Having voiced his concerns on local radio and asking for any help available, Keren Fuchs, the head of group marketing at King Solomon’s got in touch and offered Brown a deal.
“I never really doubted that we were going to sponsor him. He is a fantastic young man and we’re delighted to help him achieve his dreams,” said Fuchs. No mention has been made of Ben’s poker skills, but you can be willing to bet that between training, King Solomon’s will let him have a few hands on their site and perhaps prepare for a pro career once he’s won Olympic gold.
