Keys-y does it at Dusk Till Dawn

Despite the presence of a GUKPT Main Event, the latest Paradise Series of Poker Tournament and the ongoing WCOOP, the monthly Deep Stack at Dusk Till Dawn still managed to attract a bumper crowd of 339 players for their monthly Deepstack tournament.

James Keys won the event, claiming the first prize of £20,000. The key hand for the Black Belt Pro came when play was three-handed. He looked dominated holding pocket 9s against Ben Turnstill’s aces but a 9 on the river gave him a massive pot. He soon sealed the deal beating Chris Rose for the win.

The new, deeper stacked version of the £150 side event also proved very popular, breaking the 200-player barrier for the first time. Lee Moon, holding a massive chip lead, took the first prize of £10,042 after a deal was struck with the other three remaining players ensuring that they all took home £3,995.

The Nottingham venue has announced a new event for October called 20Twenty. It will feature two £100 No Limit Freezeouts each with a £20,000 guarantee and 270-player cap.
