Tuesday, 14 December 2010

Kevin Vandermissen has been crowned Full Tilt Poker Series Espana champion after beating an almost 200-runner field at the Casino Barcelona.

The Dutchman pocketed €150,000 of the €582,000 prize pool after beating a final table that included Michael Schurpf, Dominik Nitsche and Soros Zsolt.

Though the British contingent was conspicuous by its absence in the Main Event there was home success to report in the €10,000 High Roller. John Eames defeated the 11-man field to take home a first prize of €75,000. Barcelona has proved an extremely happy hunting ground for Eames who took home €78,300 after coming second in the €2,000 No Limit Hold'em event at EPT Barcelona last month.
