Justin Smith becomes a Full Tilt Pro

Thursday, 30 July 2009

Justin ‘BoostedJ’ Smith is the latest player to sign a sponsorship deal with Full Tilt. The 21-year-old, a big winner in Full Tilt’s high stakes mixed games, has transferred his excellent online form into the live arena with five cashes at the 2009 World Series, including a final table appearance in the Seven Card Stud HiLo event.

He finished third in the recent WPT event at the Bellagio for a cash of $464,870 but he’ll probably be remembered for hurting his knee in a freak accident while celebrating winning a hand at the televised final table.

Smith’s knee has already had a massive impact on his poker career. He only took up the game after a motorcycle accident left him confined to a wheelchair for a time. After depositing $50 while his injuries healed he ground his way through the levels working his way to the nosebleeds stakes he plays at today.

Smith has become a Full Tilt Red Team Pro which means that he’ll have to drop his BoostedJ moniker and play under his real name.

Compete at the upcoming Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS) and knockout any of the Red Team Pro members to recieve a special bounty on their head.
