Justin Bonomo wins EPT €100,000 Super High Roller in Monaco

Thursday, 26 April 2012

The largest event in European Poker Tour history is said and done with the conclusion of the €100,000 Super High Roller, which was won by Justin Bonomo. He triumphed over a field of 38 players, including re-entries from a certain few.

Bonomo was one of those who re-entered himself, which proved a good decision as he began the final table with almost half the chips and never relinquished that lead. Daniel Negreanu and Patrik Antonius also made the final table as well as EPT Berlin High Roller winner Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier.

Bonomo and German pro Tobias Reinkemeier went heads-up for the title and it was decided on a flip, as the German 4-bet shoved his 44 and was called by Bonomo and AQ. The flop fell ace high and that was the end of that.

The full payouts are as follows:

1. Justin Bonomo €1.64m
2. Tobias Reinkemeier €1.064m
3. Bertrand Grospellier €621k
4. Patrik Antonius €443k
5. Masa Kagawa €354.5k
6. Daniel Negreanu €310k
