Julian Herold leads EPT Loutraki Day 1a

Day 1a of the inaugural PokerStars EPT stop in Greece at Club Hotel Casino Loutraki saw 145 hopefuls put up €4,400 for the country’s inaugural EPT. At the end of seven levels, Julian Herold has emerged as chip leader with 138,425.

He built up his stack throughout the day, flopping the nuts with J-9 after already accumulating a stack from an early double-up. His straight held and he reached a high of 155,000.


Other notable names to make it through to Thursday’s action include Mclean Karr, Steve O’Dwyer and Chris Moorman. Rupert Elder leads the British challenge with David Vamplew, Andrew Teng, Roberto Romanello and Nicholas Elvidge all making it through to day 2.


A larger field is expected for Day 1b with the likes of Vitaliy Lunkin, Vanessa Rousso, Jude Ainsworth, Kevin Macphee and Johnny Lodden set to enter the fray today.
