Juha Helppi wins PartyPoker World Open VI Heat 6

Friday, 10 September 2010

Juha Helppi has become the sixth player to make the final table of the PartyPoker World Open VI after beating a tough table in the sixth heat and taking on Jennifer Tilly heads-up.

Fabrice Soulier; full house folder Roberto Romanello; online tournament pro Sorel Mizzi; Italian WSOP bracelet-winner Bruno Fittousi; Mike Sexton and EPT champion Sandra Naujoks completed the line-up and finished in that order to leave Tilly and Helppi mano-a-man… well, mano-a-womano.

In the final hand, fresh from a double with AK against 44, Tilly pushed all-in holding K7o but this time ran into a higher pair when the Finn called her with JJ. A Q-T-8 flop gave her some backdoor hope but blanks on the turn and river sealed the deal for the former actress.

Helppi joins Sam Trickett, Andrew Robl, John Duthie, Yevginy Timoshenko and Dale Hoy in the final table tonight.
