Joe Hachem and Shane Warne final table at their own charity tournament

Wednesday, 18 January 2012

Joe Hachem and Shane Warne, Australia’s two biggest poker-related celebrities (though we hear Warne also played a bit of cricket in his day) have concluded their fifth annual charity tournament and both made the final table.

While neither won the event, former Aussie bowler Warne finished in eighth while WSOP 2005 champion Hachem battled to a respectable third.

The top prize, however, went to Glen McGregor, who picked up a $1,650 seat to an Aussie Millions side event and will also be heading to the 2012 World Series Of Poker (WSOP).

The charity event was held as part of the tenth annual Aussie Millions tournament series in Melbourne to raise money for the Shane Warne Foundation, which helps ill and underprivileged children.
