Jerrod Ankenman wins WSOP Event #42 $2,500 Mixed Game

As you would expect from the co-author of The Mathematics Of Poker, theory has never been a problem for Jerrod Ankenman. After finishing runner up in Limit events in 2006 and 2008, Ankenman put that theory in to practice winning his first WSOP bracelet in the $2,500 Mixed Event.

After coming so close before a delighted Ankenman said “Those finishes were a little bit bittersweet. It's nice to finally win the bracelet.”


Ankenman outlasted a final table that included Layne Flack, Jeff Tims and Chris Klondicki and before defeating Sergey Albretkin heads up. He collected a first prize of $241,654 as well as the all-important bracelet.


912 players bought in for the event, which features Triple Draw 2-7, Hold’em, Omaha Eight, Razz, Stud, Stud Eight, No Limit Hold’em and Pot Limit Omaha.
