Jennifer Harman to join women in Poker Hall of Fame

Wednesday, 11 August 2010

We’re always ready to sing the praises of Full Tilt Poker’s Jennifer Harman as the best female poker player – with tens of millions in cash game winnings and two World Series of Poker bracelets (neither in a Ladies’ Event) she is definitely worthy of accolades.

Well, Jennifer Harman is joining Barbara Enright in the Poker Hall of Fame – Harman will only be the second woman to be entered into the list.

Enright is the only woman to reach the Main Event final table and was the first to win a bracelet in an open event.

Also joining Harman at the ceremony in September will be Kathy Liebert and Billie Brown. Liebert is the most successful female tournament player on the circuit, with her most recent win coming in the World Poker Finals for $75,000. She has tournament earnings topping the $5.7m mark.

Brown is being awarded posthumously – she was the first person to offer a tournament guarantee and is largely credited with making poker tournaments more exciting and accessible.

The three lovely ladies will be inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame on September 3.
