Jeff Madsen in another prop bet – moving to Israel

Jeff Madsen is one for the weird prop bets – we’ve reported on his tattoo bet from the LAPC this year and now he’s got another lined up. The multiple WSOP bracelet-winner is moving to Israel for six weeks and having no contact with friends or family, earning himself $50,000 in the process.

“Just accepted a sick prop bet: I have to move to Israel until the World Series, no outside contact with friends, no cell phone, etc. 50k bet," Madsen Tweeted last week. The bet was made with rich businessman “Manny. B” who met Madsen at a recent charity tournament.


Madsen is moving to Tel Aviv, which has lead many commentators to deride the bet, saying it will be like a paid vacation – yeah, a paid vacation where you’re totally alone with no contact with anyone for six weeks.


Madsen is moving there six weeks prior to the WSOP. John Hennigan once tried a similar bet, moving to Des Moines, Iowa. He lasted two days.
