Jeff Lisandro Wins Second Bracelet at Stud

Tuesday, 9 June 2009

The final table of the $1,500 Seven-Card Stud tournament, Event #16 in the WSOP, featured two notable names at the final table. Joining eventual winner Jeff Lisandro after battling through a field of 359 players was current WSOP Europe Main Event champion John Juanda.

However, the Full Tilt pro could do no better than fifth after a dire run of cards. Lisandro, who previously had won a WSOP bracelet in the 2007 $2k Stud event and made four WSOP final tables, eventually got heads up with Rod Pardey.

Lisandro’s win was confirmed when he got his chips in good with a pair of kings and a backdoor flush draw. He made the running diamonds to take down the pot, the bracelet and $124,959.
