Jason Tompkins win European Deepstack High Roller
Thursday, 9 February 2012
Jason Tompkins has won the European Deepstack Poker Championship High Roller title. The Irishman outlasted a field of 19 runners at the Ballsbridge Inn in Dublin to pocket a first prize of €19,450.
Only four players made the money with
John Eames the unfortunate bubble boy.
Andre Hulme was the next to go after he ran his AJ into
Tim Farrelly's AQ. UKIPT winner
Max Silver's luck ran out soon after when he pushed his K2 into Tompkin's pocket tens (which turned into a set on the flop).
Heads up play lasted just ten minutes with Tompkins once again all in with pocket tens against Farrelly's A8. The board bricked out for Farrelly who was forced to settle for €11,670.
1 Jason Tompkins €19,450
2 Tim Farrelly €11,670
3 Max Silver €7,350
4 Andrew Hulme €4,755
