Jason Mercier wins WPT Super High Roller $100k event

As James Dempsey was picking up his second major title in the WPT Five Diamond tournament, Jason Mercier was losing count of his. Mercier defeated a field of 23 players in the $100,000 Super High Roller event, besting David Sands heads-up.

For this, Mercier takes home $683,767 plus a seat in the $25k WPT Championship. Five players reached the money in this tournament with Isaac Haxton, Justin Smith and Roger Sippl beating the likes of Erik Seidel, Ben Lamb, Daniel Negreanu and Tom Marchese to a payday.


With this, Mercier’s live tournament scores surpass $7.3m and put him into the Top 30 on the All-Time Money list.
