Jason Mercier is a man on fire! The season four winner of the EPT San Remo is in a rich vein of form at the moment, with a final table at the PLO event at the WSOPE, a final table at the EPT Barcelona last month and this win in London.

Mercier also managed to stop John Juanda making it a London double, after he eliminated Juanda heads-up with a dramatic final hand. All of the money went in with Mercier holding KQ versus the WSOPE Champion's AJ. The flop was a dream for Mercier, coming JT9 and flopping him the nuts.

The two-day £20,000 buy-in tournament at the Grosvenor Victoria Casino was the first high roller event to be held at an EPT tournament and attracted a field of 86 players. The final table was like a fantasy poker event, with three WSOP bracelet winners - the legendary Scotty Nguyen, WSOP Europe winner Juanda and David Benyamine.

The event also shows the November Nine are a bunch of skilled players – after Ivan Demidov's third at the WSOP Europe Main Event, November Nine chip leader Dennis Phillips put in a solid performance here by finishing tenth, narrowly missing out on a spot at the final table.
