Jan Skampa wins Betfair Poker Live! Prague

The Betfair Poker Live! series took to Prague over the weekend and the home rail had plenty to cheer with Jan Skampa taking the honours.

Skampa outlasted a 113 runner field that had representatives from as far and wide as Russia, Bulgaria, Poland, Estonia, Ukraine, Latvia, Slovakia, the UK, Sweden, Germany, Finland, Norway and of course the Czech Republic.


The 2009 EPT Prague champion sealed the win in the €100,000 event after winning a classic race against another home player, Miroslav Zaruba. Skampa's pocket tens held up against Zaruba's Ace King giving him the Betfair Poker Live! Prague title as well as €30,000 in cold, hard cash.

Vienna will be the venue for the next Betfair Poker Tour Live! Event from 2nd to 5th December. Qualifiers are currently up and running at Betfair Poker.
