Bobby Baldwin has one. So does Phil Ivey. Even Shane Warne has one in Australia. And now, somewhat surprisingly, Jamie Gold has one too. So what do they all have in common? They have a poker room named after them.

The 2006 WSOP Main Event winner has agreed a deal to act as a spokesman and ambassador for the Tropicana Casino in Las Vegas with the property's card room being renamed The Jamie Gold Poker Room.

“This deal with Tropicana covers everything I could have ever wanted in a relationship with a major Las Vegas Strip resort and it will serve as my anchor and the conduit to all of my future poker and philanthropic endeavors,” continued Gold. “I really couldn’t be more excited!”

The Jamie Gold Poker Room will offer will host a variety of cash and tournament action including a monthly high stakes cash game. Patrons with shallower pockets will be able to take on the champ from as little as $100.

“For the past three years, I have been focusing on raising money around the globe for worthy causes,” said Gold, who has worked with such high profile organizations as the United Nations and Global Creative Forum. “It has been so rewarding; I couldn’t begin to put it into words. I will continue to live up to my nickname as ‘The Poker Philanthropist’ while at the same time getting back to the game I love which has given me countless opportunities.”
