Wednesday, 22 July 2009

The Jamie Gold Foundation has teamed up with Poker in the Park and 2008 WSOP Main Event winner Peter Eastgate to host the Jamie Gold Charity Poker Tournament. The 50-seat, £500 buy-in tournament will take place at The Casino at The Empire in Leicester Square at 7.30pm on Thursday 13 August 2009.

All cash buy-ins will be donated to The Jamie Gold Foundation but there are still some top quality prizes to be won. The winner will claim a seat in the London EPT Main Event worth £5,200 courtesy of Poker Stars. The runner up will win one-on-one poker strategy training from 2008 Bluff online player of the year The Maven worth £3,000 with the third place finisher will win a Gervil watch worth £1,500 courtesy of Bluff Europe.

Jamie Gold and Peter Eatsgate will also be giving a series of lectures at Poker in the Park. Thursday’s lecture will focus on strategy in small tournaments with fewer than 100 runners and a follow up lecture on Friday will address tournament strategy, with stories and references from the Charity tournament the night before.

The two World Champions will also be accepting donations to the Foundation in person as well as signing autographs.
