Jack Salter wins Palm Beach Big Game

A bumper field of 87 runners was on hand for the latest instalment of the Palm Beach Big Game last night with Jack SalterJack Salter eventually emerging victorious.

Salter outran a high class field that included the likes of Hendon Mobsters RossRoss and Barny BoatmanBarny Boatman and Joe BeeversJoe Beevers, WSOP bracelet winners James Dempsey and Praz Bansi, EPT chief John Duthie and even former Wimbledon champion turned PokerStars pro Boris Becker.


The Genting Poker qualifier was breathing on fumes early on but staged a stirring comeback beating a final table that included Teddy Sheringham, Dave Courtney and Ariel Adda to the £30,000 first prize.


The Salter family have certainly taken a shine to the Palm Beach Big Game as Jack's brother Louis pocketed just over £9,000 in June's tournament.
