JJProdigy is an online player who is probably best known as having to forfeit $140,000 for a first place prize in the PartyPoker $500k because he played on two accounts during the tournament. Once word broke out, he was given a lifetime ban by both PartyPoker and Pokerstars, and it has now been revealed ‘Stars will be including land-based events in the ban.
The incident was certainly one of the biggest and earliest occurrences of ‘multi-accounting’, and it seems that Field was given a cold reminder of his actions when Pokerstars responded to questions on various internet forums asking whether Fields would be allowed to play at the forthcoming PCA event, sponsored by the online giants.
Field had planned to play at the event, and recently attempted to apologise to the various online communities, asking for a clean slate. Many of the online fraternity were cynical of Field’s motivation though and lobbied Pokerstars to make sure the player would not be allowed to play in the Carribean. The pressure seemed to work as well after Pokerstars sent this email to those inquiring:
Hello xxxx,
Thank you for your email.
PokerStars management has decided to extend player’s JJProdigy current ban to the PokerStars Carribean Adventure (PCA) event.
If you have any further questions, please let me know.
Regards,
Jacob
