Ivey’s divorce: a bad beat

Ivey’s divorce: a bad beat

Tuesday, 20 December 2011

According to the Las Vegas Review Journal, Lucietta Ivey received more than $2.2m in jewellery and purses (we’re not making this up) as well as $180,000 a month in alimony from her divorce from Phil Ivey.

In a response to Lucietta’s complaint regarding the presiding judge, Ivey’s legal team responded with a statement claiming that Lucietta received 40% of stock accounts and other business investments – with the exception of Tiltware, LLC – as well as more than $2.2m in gear.

Ivey himself has taken responsibility for over $15,000,000 in gambling debts and almost $200,000 in credit card debts. Perhaps we’ve found the reason why he began to play live poker again?
