Ivey Makes the Most of his Exit

Ivey Makes the Most of his Exit

Friday, 1 February 2013

He may not have taken down the $1,600,000 first place prize at this year’s Aussie Millions, but Phil Ivey certainly went some way to curbing his disappointment with a $500,000+ win on Full Tilt Poker.

Although the American poker star made it deep enough in the $10,000 Main Event to scoop $30,000, he wasted little time lamenting over what could have been and headed straight for the virtual felt.

Playing under the alias “Polarizing”, he blasted his way through almost 1,100 hands before logging off $503,834 better off.

Previous to yesterday’s session, Ivey was down by $367,000 since the start of the year. However, his recent profit now takes him out of the red and it looks as though he’s found his rhythm again.

Also taking time to log some virtual hands, yesterday, was Patrik Antonius. The Finnish grinder is still contesting the Main Event at the time of writing but in his spare time yesterday he managed to play just over 250 hands and bank $252,407.
