Ivey, Dwan, Benyamine and Antonius Play Huge Game on Full Tilt

While many of the live game pros are scrapping over the felt in Barcelona, that hasn’t stopped the usual suspects turning out for the biggest No Limit Hold’em game on the net. Last night saw the $500/$1000 ‘RailHeaven’ 6-max table packed out with stars keen to take on ‘patatino’, a player who is rumoured to have dropped millions on the site in recent months. The results from the session were a little surprising.

Only a few days ago three of the biggest pots ever contested online were played out on the site between Tom ‘durrrr’ Dwan and Peter Jepsen. The RailHeaven game threatened to challenge those records though, as a marathon session lasting most of the night and well into the following afternoon saw the likes of Ivey, Antonius, Juanda and Dwan turning out. The reason was ‘patatino’, who has dropped several million dollars on the high stakes games at Full Tilt.

If palatino likes a challenge, he certainly got one as the pros above tried to take his money (as well as each others, of course). David Benyamine, Phil Galfond and Hac ‘trex313’ Dang also took their shot at the game. By the end of the session, ‘patitino’ not only left intact but rich, having been an estimated $450k winner.

So what about the pros? Ivey came to the table half way through the night (perhaps someone alerted him a game was brewing), and ended up clearing about $200k in profit. Dwan also left a big winner, up about $250k. Those who lost in the game included Phil Galfond, who had a tough time of it, dropping in excess of $500k. Patrik Antonius lost $200k, while David Benyamine ended up stuck nearly $150k.

Those who left this particular session in the red though will not be too disheartened when they look at the bigger picture: ‘patatino’ is still one of the players showing the biggest losses on Full Tilt Poker in 2008, even after this bumper session. Meanwhile, Phil "OMGClayAiken" Galfond is still one of those running the best on Full Tilt Poker this year, behind only Benyamine, Ivey and Dwan.
