Israeli takes the honours at Golden Sands, Bulgaria

A larger than expected field of 311 players gathered at the Golden Sands Resort near Varna in Bulgaria last week to compete for the second leg on the 2009 European Masters of Poker Tour. The €1,100 buy in event, which attracted players from as far afield as Canada and Thailand, was eventually won by Israeli Reuven Dayan who claimed a first prize of €77,750.

The final results and payouts were as follows:

The tour’s next stop is Prague from 25th to 28th June with further legs in Spain and Malta in July and September respectively.
