Irish Open to be webstreamed live

Friday, 15 April 2011

Viewers wanting to keep up to date with all the action from this year's Irish Open will be able to do so courtesy of paddypowerpoker.com which has revealed details of its extensive online coverage.

Live coverage will begin on the paddypowerpoker.com live stream and blog at 1pm on Friday 22 April and will run until the winner is crowned on Sunday evening. Jesse May will be fronting the coverage which in addition to a live stream of the feature table will also include news from the outer tables from a series of roving reporters as well as an up to the minute news ticker and interactivity via social media.

The Voice of Poker said, “The Irish Open is my favourite tournament of the year and this year we're giving online coverage of live poker a much-needed overhaul."

"It's going to be revolutionary - more of an action-packed web-show than a basic live stream - with roving reporters covering every inch of the room, on-the-fly interviews, up-to-the-minute chip counts on our news ticker, a feature table, blog, twitter, Facebook. You name it we've got it."
"We're going to transport viewers from their sofa right to the heart of this unique tournament in a way no-one has managed to do before and I for one can't wait. See you in Dublin!"

Players wishing to play in the Dublin showpiece still have time to qualify. The final few Last Chance Saloon qualifiers run until Wednesday 20th April with 33 seats still to be won. For the full satellite schedule visit the Last Chance Saloon.
